26th October, 2016
This event started swiftly at 1pm with us meeting at the workshops all fired up and ready to be productive and build some bird boxes. On arrival, the task seemed that it was going to be more difficult than first imagined due to there only being 3 saws, 1 hammer and 1 drill between the 8 of us. However, the show must go on, so we got to work building.
Learning how to properly assemble a bird box was the real fun with everyone taking their own spin on the plan. During the session we all worked well together getting 6 boxes built fully at the end. As usual, during the session we had an opportunity for cakes made by our publicity officer Shelby Deveson. The session went really well with us having the opportunity to have a good laugh and get some work done in the name of conservation.
Thanks to everyone who got involved and thanks James Jackson for leading this event for us!
